Wale "Chillin"

Here's the official video for Wale's "Chillin" ft. Lady Gaga i've been hearing alot of mixed comments about this song but to all you no life having internet geeks & bloggers let me drop some science about the music industry, this shit is a business and you gotta play by some of the rules to get in the business and as a artist you have to give em' a party/radio friendly track to gain the exposure you need on the charts, what good would Wale's deal be if he couldn't reach the masses...understand music and the business that runs it.....

"Dogs" exhibit @ F.U.E.L 6/5/09

Press release via: F.U.E.L.com

In conjunction with Utley's All-Star Animals and the PSPCA, the F.U.E.L. Collection is proud to present Dogs, featuring the work of Denise Fike, Noelle Nardone, and Jay McClellan, from May 29 - June 25, 2009.

Jay McClellan paints his three dogs Drew, Tip, and Honey inside their home in bright vivid domestic spaces, capturing the personalities of man's best friend. His aesthetic places the dogs in dreamlike interiors full of pattern and color, that somehow feel homey and calm and highlights the intelligence of our domestic friends.

Denise Fike's work is a celebration of her love of fashion and animals. She has a background in fashion illustration, and her high gloss, highly illustrative, pop artworks reverse the conventional notion of dogs as the ultimate accessory and instead remind us that fashion is the accessory and animals are equal companions and friends.

Noelle Nardone's paintings are a shout out to LOLcats and punk grunge skate culture that shows people's need to communicate with, to, and through animals. Similar to wheat-pasted advertisements on the side of walls, Nardone masks and paints her animals and words directly on maple and oak board, further illustrating her punk rock roots that inadvertently bring to mind a call to action for animal rights

Proceeds from the sale of the works in this show go to support the PSPCA. Commissions are available from the artists by request.

Dogs will be on view at The FUEL Collection from May, 29 - June 25, 2009. An opening reception will be held on June 5 from 6-9 pm. The F.U.E.L. Collection is located at 249 Arch Street in historic Old City, Philadelphia. More information is available at fuelcollection.com, or by calling 215.592.8400.
